Office Hours: EntreprenOERship Education with Geoffrey Graybeal of Georgia State University

Faculty have creatively transformed their classes as digital learning becomes a choice rather than a necessity. In this series, West End Learning celebrates their efforts and shares best practices, lessons learned, and recommended resources that extend into the future of higher education.

Dr. Geoffrey Graybeal uses open educational resources for “entreprenOERship” education. After receiving a grant from Affordable Learning Georgia, his textbook transformation grant led to a peer-reviewed OpenStax entrepreneurship textbook that was designed to replace standard commercial textbooks.

A reference librarian supported the creation of this open educational resource, which was designed to be no to low cost, capped at $25 per student. Watch the video to learn more about how teamwork and ingenuity led to course transformation and how it’s been adapted for online and asynchronous learning environments. Links to several open resources are included.

This clip is from the webinar, "Beyond the Book: Customizing Entrepreneurship Courses with OER," sponsored by Syllect, a curated set of open educational materials for teaching classes in entrepreneurship. Learn more about how Syllect can support your course.
